Our Contract Engineers are BAFE Qualified technicians, and can supply, commission and service your fire extinguishers.

Fire extinguishers need to be reliable in the event of a fire, to ensure compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, it is advised and required by insurers that fire extinguishers are serviced & commissioned by a competent person, such as those who are BAFE qualified.

Annual Servicing:
All fire extinguishers are serviced to British Standards, and include service labels, o rings, tamper seals, gauge seals and safety pins.
 
Extended Servicing:
Most fire extinguisher require an extended service every 5 years. this involves completely discharging the contents, removing the cylinder head and carrying out an internal inspection for signs of corrosion or damage to the lining. They are then refilled and re-pressurised before being put back into service. (Service Exchange like for like)

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) fire extinguishers require an extended service every 10 years. This is where the fire extinguisher is discharged and a hydrostatic pressure test is carried out to ensure it is compliant with vessel pressure legislation.
